New Delhi: An FIR has been registered against a Noida resident for taking his pet husky to the Kedarnath shrine. Vikash Yadav who is a vlogger posted the video with his pet online, which has been widely shared.
The video which was posted by Tyagi on his Instagram account, shows him holding his pet, Nawab’s, front paws making it touch the statue of ‘Nandi’ in the outer vicinity of the temple premises. The video also shows the priest putting vermillion on the husky’s forehead.
“Hey Everyone I’m Nawab (Dog) And I am 4.5 years old now. I can proudly say that as much as I have travelled in 4 years, a person at the age of 70 would not be able to travel,” he captioned the video.
While the video went viral, the Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee demanded for a strict action against Tyagi on Wednesday. An FIR was lodged by the committee's CEO at the behest of its president Ajendra Ajay demanding stern action against the accused saying the viral video has hurt the religious sentiments of people, reported news agency PTI.
The man has however defended his action saying that has taken Nawab to many other temples for the last four years “so why this drama now.”
“People click photos even if they visit a swimming pool. We reached the temple after trekking for 20 kilometres, so there is nothing wrong in making a video,” he wrote in one of his Instagram posts.
