New Delhi: With the ongoing farmers' protests and beefed up police deployment over it, commuters will continue to face hindrances at certain routes even as the protestors have been asked to demonstrate at the Nirankari Ground in Burari. Delhi Traffic Police put up updates on which routes will be closed and from where traffic is being diverted.

Traffic movement is not allowed from the outer ring road to the Singhu border and Azadpur towards the Singhu border, the department informed on Twitter.
Traffic is heavy in the carriageway from Peeragarhi towards Punjabi Bagh due to checking by local police at Ordnance Depot. Kindly avoid the stretch.

Besides this, traffic is being diverted from the following routes:

  • Azad Pur Terminal Underpass

  • Azad Pur chowk

  • GTK Depot


Police have advised people to avoid inconvenience by taking an alternate route.


Meanwhile, other routes where commuters are expected to face heavy traffic are:

  • Tikri border

  • DND

  • Delhi-UP border near Dilshad Garden

  • Kalindi Kunj border

  • Faridabad border

  • Outer Ring Road

  • Dhaula Kuan

  • Mukarba Chowk


The Traffic Police had also released similar updates on Friday wherein traffic had been closed from both sides at the Singhu border, traffic from Mukarba Chowk and GTK road were also being diverted.

People were advised to avoid outer Ring Road, Mukarba Chowk, GTK Road, NH-44, and Singhu Border.

Tikri Border, Dhasa Border, and Jharoda Kalan Border were completely closed for movement because of the security checks owing to the protests.
