New Delhi: An earthquake of magnitude 3.2 on the Richter scale hit Jammu and Kashmir's Doda region on Thursday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
According to ABP sources, an earthquake measuring 3.2 occurred in the Doda region of Jammu and Kashmir at 12:04 pm on Thursday. The depth of the earthquake was 10 km below the ground.
"An earthquake of magnitude 3.2 occurred on January 19, 2023, at 12:04 pm IST of Latitude: 33.21 & Longitude: 75.72, Depth: 10 Km. Location: Doda, Jammu and Kashmir," National Center for Seismology said in a tweet.
There were no reports of fatalities or property damage in the incident. NCS is the nodal agency of the Indian government for monitoring earthquake activity in the country.
Earlier, on January 8, a 3.6-magnitude earthquake hit Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir. The NCS indicated that the quake occurred at 11.15 pm, with a depth of 10 km below the surface.
