New Delhi: Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has tested positive for coronavirus. The leader also informed about his condition via a tweet.

Fadnavis, is BJP's in-charge for the upcoming Bihar elections and had visited the state for campaigning. The news comes days after Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had also tested positive for Coronavirus. According to reports, he has mild symptoms and has been quarantined at his home in Mumbai.

Election campaigning in Bihar is in full swing and on Friday, Prime Minister Modi addressed his first rally in Sasaram with CM Nitish Kumar by his side. He launched attack at the opposition parties and hailed the work done by ‘double-engine’ government of NDA.  He also said that an NDA government under Nitish Kumar in Bihar is necessary to strengthen the resolve of 'aatmanirbhar Bharat'

On Friday, India had recorded total active cases are 6,95,509 after a decrease of 20,303 in last 24 hrs. Total cured cases are 69,48,497 with 73,979 new discharges in last 24 hrs.
