New Delhi: A week after the controversial viral video showing SHO of Delhi Police's Adarsh Nagar police station allegedly bullying a man for raising his voice against a mazar built on the flyover, the official has been suspended from the duty. CP Bhardwaj was seen in a video about the tomb built on a flyover in Adarsh Nagar police station area.

Top officials of Delhi Police said that complaints were being received continuously against the SHO, following which this step has been taken. Police sources say that the SHO did not come on time for duty and did not handle PCR calls well.

While the officials allege irregularities in duty as the reason behind CP Bharadwaj's suspension, it must be noted that the development has come just a few days after his controversial video of allegedly bullying a man raising his voice against a tomb went viral.

A heated banter erupted when a group of people alleged that the tomb was encroaching the road. People claimed of heavy traffic jams due to the allegedly illegal construction on the bridge.

Upon learning the matter, SHO Adarsh Nagar, CP Bharadwaj, intervened and tried cool down the crowd. The official warned of legal actions and asked the police to take one of the man - who was seen raising voice - to take him to the police station. In a shaky video captured by a journalist and cameraman there showed the rebel man being dragged away by the Police and put in a van. This created a controversy in the town.

Although Delhi Police officials have given a different reason for the suspension of SHO CP Singh, but the manner in which CP Singh came into the discussion recently, his sudden suspension has become a topic of discussion in the police department itself. Questions are being raised whether the suspension of CP Singh was really due to irregularities in the work.
