All Delhi Schools To Reopen From Monday, Classes To Be Conducted With 50% Capacity: Dy CM Manish Sisodia

Delhi Schools Reopen: All schools in Delhi have to ensure that classes are taking place in hybrid mode with a maximum strength of 50% in classrooms.

New Delhi: Schools in Delhi, which were shut due to the coronavirus pandemic, will reopen from Monday i.e. November 1. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced on Wednesday that all the schools in Delhi are permitted to open but "no parents will be forced to send their children to school."

All schools in Delhi have to ensure that classes are taking place in the hybrid model. Students can attend online as well as offline classes as physical attendance is not mandatory only voluntary as of now.

As per the latest guidelines, the physical attendance of students in a classroom cannot exceed more than 50% of its capacity.

Dy CM Manish Sisodia also said schools have to ensure that all of their staff is vaccinated, with at least 98 percent have had their first dose of covid vaccine.

The decision was announced by Dy CM Manish Sisodia after his meeting with Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) where Delhi's current covid situation was assessed.
