New Delhi: Yoga Guru Ramdev today launched 'Patanjali Paridhan' - a store with a range of apparels and accessories. Wrestler Sushil Kumar and Bollywood filmmaker Madhur Bhandkar unveiled the showroom along with the yoga guru-turned businessman. Ramdev said the garments sold at the showrooms are at affordable prices. He aimed at taking on international brands like Adidas, Puma Armani, Gucci etc by selling the products at at least 6 times lower the cost. The garments will include fashionable wear, inner wear, sports wear for men and women, catering to all age groups at an introductory discount price, he said.

The showroom, with more than 3000 varieties of men's, women's and kids wear, will open at Netaji Subhash Place on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras today. The new range will comprise three brands: 'Livefit', 'Aastha' and 'Sanskar'.

Ramdev, who was in Haridwar on Sunday to attend the first Gyan Kumbh, had stated that the wait for the launch of 'Patanjali Paridhan' is finally over, reported ANI. "From coat to langot (loincloth), jeans to Indian kurta-pyjama and sarees, every attire of the Indian culture would be available here," he told media at the event.

Ramdev said the aim was to make people of India get rid of foreign products and shift to 'Swadeshi' (Made in India) goods manufactured by Patanjali.

The nearly Rs 11,000-crore turnover Patanjali, which already sells cow ghee and milk powder, launched its cow milk-based products such as curd, buttermilk and paneer in September.
