Delhi Assembly Elections 2020: Shortly before the crucial Delhi poll announcement by Election Commission, Union Minister Amit Shah and senior BJP leader Amit Shah came down heavily on the Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government.

Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Delhi Cycle Walk in New Delhi, Shah accused Kejriwal of not allowing Ayushman Bharat scheme to be implemented in the national capital. "The AAP Govt in Delhi has caused the most harm to the poor of Delhi. Kejriwal ji just for his political interests is not allowing Ayushman Bharat scheme to be implemented."

Belabouring the AAP chief, Shah said people have witnessed the real colours of Kejriwal resulting which AAP was wiped out in MCD and Lok Sabha polls.

Launching a broadside against AAP's election manifesto, Shah said 80% of the AAP's manifesto was "full of lies" and people of Delhi will vote for BJP as it backs PM Narendra Modi.

Attacking Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is also the chairman of Delhi Jal Board (DJB), Shah said the entire city is receiving "poisonous water" in their houses.

In a cutting remark at Kejriwal's free-wifi and CCTV schemes, Shah said, "the people of Delhi are still searching for wi-fi signals."

Amit Shah, who is leading the Bharatiya Janata Party's Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) outreach initiative, alleged that AAP and Congress, especially Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are misleading the minorities of the country. "Nobody's citizenship will be revoked under CAA, its an act to give citizenship. These parties are responsible for the riots which broke out,"he added.

The Election Commission is set to announce date of assembly polls in the national capital on Monday afternoon, Sources said. The announcement is likely to be made at a press conference today at 3:30 pm.

The Aam Aadmi Party had won 67 of the assembly 70 seats in the 2015 Delhi Assembly polls.
