Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists arrested: Foiling a major terror bid, Delhi police special cell has arrested two terrorists who claim associations with the Jaish-e-Mohammed. The arrests were made to prevent a major terror attack about which the police had received a tip-off.

As per initital information, explosives and several documents were found in possession of the two terrorists, who were whisked away by the police from the national capital’s Sarai Kale Khan. Officials are now questioning the two terrorists.

Jaish terrorists belonged to Jammu and Kashmir

The two terrorists have been identified as residents of Jammu and Kashmir Abdul Latif Mir and Mohammed Ashraf, hailing from Kupwara and Baramulla respectively.

The two are aged between 20-22 years, sources have informed.

The two terrorists were arrested after a trap was laid by the cops near the Millenium Park in Sarai Kale Khan on Monday night at around 10 pm.

Two pistols along with live cartridge have been recovered from the two.

Jaish terrorists had plans to target VIPs

It is reported that the two terrorists had planned to carry out attack in the national and several VIPs were on their target. Reports say the duo had recently visited Deoband town in Saharanpur district. The two were also staying in Delhi-NCR and investigators are trying to find out who facilitated their stay in the national capital.

Sources say a Pakistani connection was to be found in their Whatsapp chats which also contained videos of terrorists and terror camps. The duo are tight-lipped are not revealing much and are being taken for a medical test and then to court.
