In an exclusive interview with ABP News, the victim of this horrendous crime spoke up about her experience and said, her conscience did not allow her to live and she had to raise her voice.
Claiming that there are many other girls who have been victimised by Daati, the girl said, “I hope my voice becomes an inspiration for other girls who are going a through similar phase, and whose conscience are yet to be awakened, will get a voice to speak up”.
When asked on what happened inside the aashram, she said that they believed in him like a guru, a spiritual leader, and in return they were mind washed.
Rebuting Daati’s claims that his relationship with his disciples is like that of a father and a daughter, and they share teacher-student dynamics; the victim said “he has stained the father-daughter relationship and disgraced the bond of a teacher and student”.
The victim thereafter expressed her thankfulness for the support she has received from the authorities and the people. She said “I want the authorities to finish the investigations as soon as possible and the godman to be punished severely”.
On being asked what the atmosphere in the aashram looked like, she said that she was fond of the children there. “The atmosphere was full of positivity and that’s how people just went with the flow without even realising what they were being part of”. She said that such atmosphere which is engulfed in positivity drives people crazy.
On the other hand, Daati Maharaj, while defending himself had said that “the allegations are wrong and this is all a conspiracy”. He also said that he will cooperate completely with the authorities.
He had been summoned by the Crime Branch twice and he finally appeared on Tuesday, where he was questioned for 7 hours straight.
