Heavy rains swept across parts of Rajasthan on Friday (June 16) as Cyclone Biparjoy weakened after making landfall in Gujarat. There were 14 train cancellations in the North Western Railway zone. The Rajasthan government has temporarily suspended relief camps in districts where the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rain warnings.   • Heavy rains occurred in certain areas of Rajasthan on Friday as Cyclone Biparjoy moved towards the state after making landfall in Gujarat.

  • Rail traffic in the North Western Railway zone was disrupted, resulting in the cancellation of 14 trains, according to news agency PTI. 

  • The Rajasthan government has temporarily halted inflation relief camps in districts where the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rain warnings.

  • Cyclone Biparjoy wreaked havoc in Gujarat's Kutch and Saurashtra regions before dissipating into a deep depression.
