Coronavirus Vaccination in India: Terming full immunization of more than 50 per cent of the population in the country as an important milestone in the fight against covid-19, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, said on Monday that it is important to maintain this momentum. It is also important to keep following all preventive measures.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had said on Sunday that more than 50 per cent of the eligible adult population in the country has been fully vaccinated. Responding to Mandaviya's tweet, Modi wrote, "India's vaccination campaign has crossed another important milestone. It is important to maintain this momentum to strengthen the fight against the covid-19."

Maintain social distance - PM

"Follow all covid-19 guidelines and maintain social distance," the Prime Minister said. Mandaviya had tweeted on Sunday, "Congratulations India. This is a very proud moment because more than 50 per cent of the eligible population has been fully vaccinated. We will deal with covid-19 together.'' It is worth noting that the nationwide vaccination campaign against covid-19 was started on January 16 this year.
