India on Monday recorded less than 1 lakh new cases after 68 days while the toll reached below 2,00,000 after 49 days. India recorded 86,161 new cases on Monday the lowest count since April 1. The cases were below 1 lakh on April 5.


India reports 86,498 new COVID19 cases, 1,82,282 discharges, and 2123 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per Health Ministry.

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that a total of 36,82,07,596 samples have been tested for COVID19 in the country, up to June 7 including 18,73,485 samples tested yesterday


The declining trend of fresh Covid-19 cases continued in West Bengal on Monday with 5,887 people testing positive for the virus, the state's health department said in a bulletin. The tally now stands at 14,32,019, while the death toll rose to 16,362 after 103 single-day fatalities were reported, it said. The state had logged 7,002 new infections and 107 fatalities on Sunday. 


Less than 800 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported in Bihar on Monday, in yet another indication that the second wave was on the wane in the state, though 43 fatalities pushed the death toll to 5424. According to the health department, 762 people tested positive in the last 24 hours, the lowest figure for the state for the past couple of months. Total number of confirmed cases has risen to 7,13,879 and 7,00,224 people have, so far, recovered


Delhi on Monday recorded 231 Covid-19 cases, lowest since March 2, and 36 deaths. With this, the daily positivity rate in the national capital has dropped to as low as 0.36%. According to the government health bulletin, 876 people were also discharged after recovery.
