New Delhi: India has reported less than 1000 new Coronavirus cases for the second consecutive day. According to the data shared by the Ministry of Health, the country has logged 795 fresh Covid 19 cases on Monday taking the active cases to 12,054


The country also recorded 1,208 recoveries taking the total recovery rate to 98.7% while 58 people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours. The country's total recoveries now stand at 4,24,96,369.

Maharashtra 


Maharashtra on Monday recorded 52 fresh coronavirus cases, but no new death due to the infection, while 107 more patients recovered from the disease, according to a PTI report. 

With this, the state's COVID-19 tally rose to 78,74,446, while the death toll remained unchanged at 1,47,789, the department said in a bulletin.

On Sunday, the state had reported 117 cases and two fatalities linked to the infection.

The bulletin said 107 coronavirus patients recovered in the last 24 hours, taking their cumulative number to 77,25,791 and leaving the state with 866 active cases. The state's coronavirus recovery rate was 98.11 per cent.

Sangli, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Hingoli, Nanded, Akola, Washim, Yavatmal, Bhandara, and Gondia districts have zero active cases.

Mumbai recorded 18 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
