New Delhi: India reports 2,451 new coronavirus cases on Friday with which the active caseload has risen to 14,241, according to the Union Health Ministry data. Within the span of 24 hours, there has been an increase of 808 cases in the active Covid-19 caseload.


According to the ministry, the death toll climbed to 5,22,116 with 54 fresh fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated.

The active cases comprise 0.03 per cent of the total infections, while the national the Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded as 98.75 per cent, the ministry said.






20 coronavirus positive cases, the infection count in Thane district of Maharashtra has increased to 7,08,942, an official said on Friday.







The Delhi government on Thursday announced that the Precautionary dose will be available for free to all eligible beneficiaries of the 18 to 59 years age group in all Government Covid-19 Vaccination Centres. India registered over 2000 Covid cases on Thursday while half of the caseload has been recorded in the national capital.


Earlier this month, the Delhi government had said that a precautionary dose of coronavirus vaccine would soon be provided free of cost to people in government hospitals. This step by the government has come to the fore after a sudden spurt in the cases of infection in the national capital.
