Arunachal Pradesh's COVID-19 tally rose to 38,682 as 399 more people tested positive for the infection, a senior health official said here on Friday.
The COVID-19 death toll in the frontier state increased to 185 with one more person succumbing to the disease in the past two days, he said.
A 52-year-old woman from the Capital Complex Region died at her home in Lower Subansiri district on Wednesday due to acute respiratory distress syndrome with Covid Pneumonia, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said.
The Capital Complex Region remained at the top of the list in terms of fresh cases with 109, followed by East Siang (42), Changlang (29), West Kameng (28), Upper Subansiri (27), Lohit (24), Longding (19), Papumpare (17), Namsai and Lower Subansiri with 13 cases each.
New cases were also recorded from Kamle, West Siang, Shi-Yomi, East Kameng, Tawang, Siang, Lower Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, Leparada, Anjaw, Upper Siang, Kurung Kumey and one in Tirap district, the official said.
Of the 399 new cases, 378 were detected through rapid antigen test 8 through RT-PCR and 13 by TrueNat method, the SSO said, adding that 172 people were found symptomatic.
Arunachal Pradesh now has 3,460 active COVID-19 cases, he said.
The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the northeastern state rose to 35,037 as 301 more patients were cured of the disease on Thursday, Jampa said.
The COVID-19 recovery rate in the state now is 90.58 per cent while the active percentage stands at 8.94 and the positivity rate at 7.12 per cent, the official said.

India recorded 43,393 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours and 911 deaths, said the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Friday.
Friday is the 31st consecutive day when India reported less than one lakh new coronavirus cases.
The active cases have now come down below 5 lakh. The country has 4,58,727 active cases presently and has witnessed a total of 4,05,939 deaths so far.
According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 44,459 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total discharge to 2,98,88,284 till date.
The Ministry said that a total of 36,89,91,222 people have been vaccinated so far in the country, including 40,23,173 who were administered vaccines in the last 24 hours.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 42,70,16,605 samples have been tested up to July 8 for Covid-19. Of these 17,90,708 samples were tested on Thursday.
Recoveries stayed ahead of new Covid cases in J&K on Thursday as 353 patients recovered while 262 new cases and four deaths were reported during the last 24 hours.
Officials said 136 recoveries, 120 cases and two deaths were reported from the Jammu division and 217 recoveries, 142 cases and two deaths from the Kashmir division.

The Gujarat government on Thursday granted further relaxations in Covid curbs in 10 of 18 major cities, with night curfew now only in eight Municipal Corporations.
It has made it compulsory for the business fraternity to get their first dose of vaccine by July 31.

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) would resume inter-state bus service to Kerala from July 12 after suspending it for over 2 months due to Covid-induced lockdown, an official said on Thursday.
"With the easing of restrictions under unlock 3.0 since July 5 on movement of people and vehicles to and from neighbouring states, we have decided to resume our bus service to cities and towns across Kerala," said a corporation official in a statement here.

Kumar informed the Bhalla that the state government has also undertaken aggressive testing for Covid-19.

Coronavirus HIGHLIGHTS, Friday, July 9: With the pandemics second wave on the wane, only 2,530 new Covid cases were registered across Karnataka, while 62 patients died of the infection in a day, said the state health bulletin on Thursday.
"In all, 2,530 patients tested positive on Wednesday, taking the state's Covid tally to 28,64,868, including 38,729 active cases, while 27,90,453 recovered so far, with 3,344 patients discharged during the day," said the bulletin.
As epi-centre of the pandemic in the state, Bengaluru reported 514 fresh cases on Wednesday, taking its Covid tally to 12,18,021 active cases, while recoveries rose to 11,88,419, with 753 discharged in the last 24 hours.

Over 68 per cent of the people aged 18 years and above have received their first dose of the vaccine in the state.
The Chief Secretary said that the state has adopted a three-prong strategy to prevent the spread of the virus, which include extensive tracking and testing, enforcement of Covid appropriate behaviour and vaccination.
"The state needs an additional three lakh vaccines in a bid to achieve 100 per cent coverage of beneficiaries in the 18-plus and 45-plus age groups," Kumar said.
Till Thursday, Arunachal Pradesh reported 38,283 Covid cases, including 184 deaths with 34,736 people have recovered from the disease.
