An earlier order had informed that the restriction imposed because of the spread of Coronavirus, has been extended till April 30. But now the officials have issued a clarification taking back the earlier directive.
In March, Section-144 had been imposed in Noida till April 5. But looking at the nationwide lockdown, it has now been extended till April 14.
The officials have reiterated that all gatherings, including religious and political, will remain banned in Noida and Greater Noida until the lockdown gets over. Under Indian Penal Code section 188, strict action will be taken against those who violate the restriction.
So till April 14, gathering of more than five people at a place will be banned. All gatherings, including political, social and religious, protest rallies and sports events are banned. Section - 144 also allows an executive magistrate to issue orders in urgent cases of nuisance or apprehended danger.
Meanwhile in Noida, high rise buildings hospitals and offices are being sanitised to combat the deadly coronavirus. The District Magistrate has ordered schools to not ask for fees during the lockdown period. The DM further added that if any school is found doing so, strict action will be taken against that school.
The total number of Coronavirus cases in India have crossed the 4,000 mark, with Uttar Pradesh having more than 300 cases.
