Coronavirus: India Sees Highest Covid-19 Jump In 24 Hrs - Over 45K New Cases & 1,129 Deaths; Overall Tally Breaches 12 Lakh

As per the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare India's Covid-19 case tally crosses 12 lakh mark with highest single-day spike of 45,720 new cases & 1,129 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Coronavirus In India: The proliferation in Coronavirus cases in India has reached an alarming state, with near;y 46,000 new cases being reported in 24 hours on Thursday, the highest ever so far. At the same time, over 1100 deaths were recorded in a day which is also the highest spike so far. With these additions, India crossed 12-lakh overall Covid-19 cases. Now total Covid-19 positive cases stand at 12,38,635 including 4,26,167 active cases, 7,82,606 cured/discharged/migrated & 29,861deaths, the health ministry stated. Another lakh breached in three days time! The spurt in Covid-19 cases is at all-time high, as India witnessed fastest 1-lakh addition to its overall tally. On July 21 the total cases crossed 11-lakh mark and three days later on July 23 the total tally surged past 12-lakh mark. India reported its maiden lakh of Covid-19 cases on May 19. Also Read: Delhi Govt To Conduct Sero Surveillance Every Month To Break Covid-19 Infection Chain Worst-hit states: Maharashtra continues to lead worst-hit states with overall 3,37,607 cases, highest in the country followed by Tamil Nadu with 1,86,492 cases. Delhi coronavirus count has reached 1,26,323 cases. Total number of tests: According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 1,50,75,369 samples were tested till July 22 out of which 3,50,823 samples were tested yesterday. Also Watch:
