Indore: On Thursday, a man is reported to have suspiciously thrown currency notes on the road in front of a Dharamshala in Indore's Khatipura. The anonymous person threw a currency note of Rs 100, 200 and 500 each.

In normal circumstances, perhaps people would not hesitate to pick up the money. But in the times of Covid-19, people did not take the risk of doing that.

Residents seemed worried about the intension of the strange act. The worries are connected to the spread of Coronavirus, how it is said to survive on objects and even currency notes; and in that case, the virus may indirectly transfer from one person to another. So, perhaps fearing the same, no one dared to touch the money.

Then, members of the Municipal Corporation came in and were seen carefully picking up the money and putting the notes in a packet. While doing so, they were wearing gloves and mask, thereby exercising necessary precautions.

The incident, however bizarre, shows that people here exercised necessary precautions to protect themselves from the Coronavirus pandemic especially since Indore recently became a Covid-19 hotspot in Madhya Pradesh.
