Navratri begins today:

As you know, Shardiya Navratri has started from today. Today, that is on the first day, devotees would be worshipping Shailputri, the first form of the Goddess.

The nine-day festival of fasting and worship is celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour.

However, Navratri is said to be lasting for just 8 days this year. As two days are said to be conjoined this year, Navratri would be celebrated for only 8 days this year. Navratri is said to end on October 14 this year.

Rahul Gandhi gives his best wishes:

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi also took to Twitter to greet all Indians on Navratri. In a tweet, he wrote, "Happy Navratri to all of you".
