Patna: An FIR has been registered against six leaders, including Bihar’s Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, for not giving Lok Sabha ticket after taking money.
Besides Tejashwi, the FIR has been registered against Bihar Congress chief Madan Mohan Jha and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti for allegedly promising a Lok Sabha ticket in 2019 in exchange for Rs 5 crore.

The FIR in connection with this matter was registered at Patna’s Kotwali Police Station on Wednesday.
A court in Patna had earlier last week ordered the police to file an FIR against the six people in this regard following the complaint filed by Congress leader Sanjiv Kumar Singh.
Singh alleged that he was asked to pay Rs 5 crore in exchange for the ticket to contest the Lok Sabha polls from Bihar’s Bhagalpur constituency.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), however, rubbished all the allegations.
RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari said that some crazy people do such things for cheap popularity.
“The court should investigate whether the allegations are correct. They should also look at the status of the person levelling the allegation as to whether he is eligible to pay Rs 5 crore,” he said.
Tiwari further said “it is not right to take cognizance of the allegations without evidence”.
“It will be answered legally. The allegation is completely wrong,” he added.
Former Bihar Assembly speaker and Congress veteran Sadanand Singh, who passed away on September 8, has also been named in the complaint along with his son Subhanand Mukesh and Congress spokesperson Rajesh Rathore.
