Infiltration bid along Punjab's Attari border: Two intruders who were trying to infiltrate into India at Attari border, Punjab, have been eliminated by Border Security Force in the wee hours of Thursday. Narcotics substance and weapons have been recovered from the two infiltrators. A search operation has been launched in the area.

The encounter took place at Rajatal area of Attari, sources have said.

Remarkable quantity of heroine has been recovered from the eliminated terrorists along with weapons. Pakistani sim cards have also been recovered, sources said.

Citing official sources, news agency PTI reported that the Border Security Force (BSF)  has gunned down two terrorists along the India-Pakistan International Border in Punjab in the early hours of Thursday.

The armed infiltrators were shot dead close to the Attari front around 2:30 am, they said.

More details will be known once the troops conduct a search operation, but a dense fog has engulfed the area, the sources were quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, in Jammu and Kashmir, an encounter started between terrorists and security forces at Gund Baba Khaleel, Anantnag, early morning today. One local HM terrorist has been arrested in injured condition and has been shifted to hospital.
