BR Ambedkar Death Annivesary: On the occasion of the death anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar, leaders across party lines extended tributes to him on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Ambedkar in Parliament on his death anniversary.
The Prime Minister took to social media platform X and said that Ambedkar was an immortal champion of social harmony, who dedicated his life for the welfare of the exploited and the deprived.
"Pujya Baba Saheb, along with being the architect of the Indian Constitution, was an immortal champion of social harmony, who dedicated his life for the welfare of the exploited and the deprived. My respectful obeisances to him today on his Mahaparinirvana day, PM Modi said.
President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also extended tributes to Ambedkar in Parliament on his death anniversary.
Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati also paid tributes to BR Ambedkar in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on his death anniversary.

Immense reverence to Bharat Ratna Param Pujya Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the messiah of the poor, laborers, Dalits, tribals, backward classes including the neglected Bahujans of India with a huge population of about 140 crores and the creator of the country's humanitarian egalitarian Constitution, on his death anniversary today - Suman offered," the BSP cheif said in a post on X.
Congress party president Mallikarjun Kharge took to X and said, “We are Indians, firstly and lastly” ~ Babasaheb Dr. B R Ambedkar Babasaheb was a lifelong champion of the democratic principles of liberty, equality, fraternity and justice. On his Mahaparinirvan Diwas, we pay our deepest respects to his ideas of social transformation and social justice. We must collectively resolve to preserve and protect his finest contribution to the nation — the Constitution of India."
