NEW DELHI: The chief ministerial aspirants of BJP, B.S. Yeddyurappa sought divine blessing as the counting of votes is happening for the Karnataka Assembly elections.



The counting is being held in nearly 40 counting centres. Several exit polls have predicted a hung Assembly but Yeddyurappa claimed that the BJP party will get more than 150 seats and they will form the government in the state on May 17.

BJP is looking to come back to power in the state but interestingly, no incumbent government has been re-elected in Karnataka since 1985.

The total polling percentage in Karnataka Elections was 72.13 pepercentere a total of 2,654 candidates, including 216 women candidates were in the fray for Assembly Elections this year.
