The Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers in Birbhum, West Bengal have sent 100 postcards to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as a protest over the current state of affairs in Bengal. BJP MLA Anup Saha also participated in the protest and shared the photographs on twitter. 


He said, “Today, I was present at the protest and program of sending hundreds of letters addressed to the Chief Minister at the post office in Suri city under the initiative of Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha.” 






Talking to the media, Saha said that postcards have been sent to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee as a protest against the teacher’s recruitment scam and the current anarchy in the state.  


“BJP Yuva Morcha workers sent 100 postcards as a protest against TMC's corruption in the teachers' recruitment scam and the ongoing anarchy in the state to WB CM Mamata Banerjee's address,” Saha was quoted as saying by ANI. 






The Enforcement Directorate has arrested former TMC Minister Partha Chatterjee in connection with its investigation into the irregularities in the recruitment drives by the School Service Commission (SSC).  The ED also seized around Rs 20 crore in cash from the house of Arpita Mukherjee, a close associate of Partha Chatterjee. 


After his arrest, Chatterjee was removed from all ministerial portfolios and suspended from the party. 


The CBI had named 16 accused, including an ex-advisor, a former assistant secretary of the WBSSC, two former program officers of the commission, and several others in its charge sheet.
