New Delhi: BJP MLA Tanmay Ghosh from Bishnupur joined the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal today. On returning to the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC, Ghosh ade several allegations against the saffron party.

He said the BJP does the politics of vengeance. They are trying to take away the rights of the people of Bengal using central agencies.''I urge all politicians to support CM Mamata Banerjee for public welfare,'' Ghosh added.

The Trinamool Congress tweeted that inspired by Mamata Banerjee's development work, Bishnupur MLA Tanmay Ghosh joined the Trinamool family. "We warmly welcome him. "

Welcoming Ghosh to the party, state education minister Bratya Basu said BJP is trying to take revenge from TMC after the elections. He said, "We will fight with the BJP politically. BJP is trying to make the people of West Bengal look inferior.'' Basu said several BJP leaders are in touch with the TMC.

Basu claimed that BJP MLAs from Tripura are also in touch with the TMC. He said that "When Mamata Banerjee will enter Tripura, there will be a tsunami". The BJP leaders of that state are well aware of this.'' Basu alleged, "Under the Leadership of BJP, Tripura has turned into a valley of fear."

Mukul Roy and several other leaders have left BJP and joined TMC after party's colossal victory in West Bengal assembly elections earlier this year.

Tanmay Ghosh had left the TMC and joined the BJP in March, days before the assembly elections in West Bengal. Earlier, Ghosh was also the president of Bishnupur town in Bankura district of the youth unit of TMC and a councillor of the local municipal body.
