New Delhi: Soon after Congress President Rahul Gandhi slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his ‘soft-diplomacy’ with China over Masood Azhar issue; Union Minister and Bharatiya Janta Party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Thursday hit back at Gandhi.

Taking on Congress President, Prasad said “Rahul’s tweets make headlines in Pakistan media”. He further said that “When nation gets sad, Rahul gets happy”.

Condemning Rahul’s visit to Chinese embassy in 2017, Prasad said Rahul Gandhi went to the Chinese embassy during Doklam tension, he admitted to meeting Chinese ministers during Kailash Yatra. If he shares such a close relation with China then he should have told them to not block move on Masood Azhar in UNSC”.

He further took a jibe at Gandhi over his indulgence in every issue by writing tweets, saying “Country's foreign policy cannot run via Twitter”.

Rahul takes on PM Modi:

As China once again blocked a bid at the UN to designate Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist, the Congress party slammed the neighbouring country for blocking the move for the fourth time. The party also launched an attack on the BJP government with Congress chief Rahul Gandhi taking jibe on PM Modi for his 'China diplomacy'. The party also said that PM Modi’s foreign policy has been a series of “diplomatic disasters”.

Reacting to the development, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi took on PM Modi and called him "weak" and "scared" of Chinese president Xi Jinping.
"Weak Modi is scared of Xi. Not a word comes out of his mouth when China acts against India", he tweeted. "NoMo’s China Diplomacy: 1. Swing with Xi in Gujarat 2. Hug Xi in Delhi 3. Bow to Xi in China", he listed in his tweet.
