Neet Paper Leak: As the heat over the Neet paper leak increased on Thursday, with police 'confessions' of the main accused and students involved in the crime coming to the fore, the BJP targeted RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on the issue. Blaming his predecessor, Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha on Thursday said that Tejashwi Yadav's personal secretary had close links to one of the accused in the NEET paper leak case.

BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sinha said: "On May 1, Tejashwi Yadav's personal secretary Pritam Kumar called guesthouse worker Pradip Kumar to book a room for Sikander Kumar Yadavendu. On May 4, Pritam Kumar called Pradip Kumar again for booking the room. The word 'mantri [minister]' was used for Tejashwi Yadav."

Sikander Kumar Yadavendu is a junior engineer in the Danapur Municipality. He was earlier arrested in the NEET-UG question paper leak case. Based on his statement, Amit Anand, who is alleged to be the mastermind of the crime was caught.

"I gathered information about who was staying at the NHAI guesthouse and under whose orders they were accommodated there. It has come to light that on May 1, a phone call was made from Tejashwi Yadav's PS Preetam Kumar's mobile to book a room for the night," he said.

The National Highways Authority of India has issued a statement in response to the claims of the accused staying at the purported guesthouse of the organisation. "NHAI would like to clarify that NHAI does not have any guest house facility in Patna," the organisation said in a statement.

Union minister and senior BJP leader Giriraj Singh, too, accused the RJD of orchestrating the NEET paper leak and said: "Corruption is in the DNA of the RJD... Tejashwi Yadav is involved in the NEET paper leak.
