Bihar elections: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who emerged victorious in the gripping Bihar elections, is all set to take oath as the Chief Minister of the state for the seventh time. As per sources, Nitish will take oath on November 16th, post the festival of Diwali. The decision on cabinet has not yet been taken sources have said.

After getting a majority , Kumar has saluted the people of the state and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his cooperation.
Nitish Kumar's credibility was at stake in this election. Thereafter, after some stiff resistance from the Mahagathbandhan, the NDA crossed the majority figure late on Tuesday.
In his first reaction after the election results, Kumar saluted the people of Bihar. "I bow before the people's mandate," tweeted the chief minister from his official Twitter handle. "I salute the people for the majority that they have given to the NDA. I also thank PM Narendra Modiji for his cooperation," he added in the tweet.
As NDA stands at 125 seats, out of which the long-term ally of the alliance Janata Dal-United (JDU) managed to win on only 43 seats while the Bhartiya Janata Party bagged up 74 seats, questions were being raised, whether Nitish Kumar will still be the chief minister of Bihar. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi rejected all the speculation and said that the resolve of development in Bihar will be stregthened under Nitish Kumar's leadership.
JDU spokesperson KC Tyagi said that Kumar will be taking oath as Chief Minister after Diwali. "Nitish Kumar may take oath as the next chief minister after Diwali," spokesperson of JDU, Tyagi said.
Nitish Kumar to take oath for the seventh time:
Nitish Kumar took oath in 2000 as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the first time as Samata Party leader. He then took oath in 2005 and 2010. In 2015, he took oath as CM twice. Then in 2017 after he joined hands with NDA, he again took oath as the CM.
