New Delhi: Member of Bihar Legislative Assembly and JDU leader Bima Bharti’s son was found dead in Patna on Friday.


The dead body of Deepak Kumar was discovered on railway track ahead of Rajendra Nagar Terminal.


Deputy Inspector General of Police, Patna, Rajesh Kumar told ABP News that the minister’s son had gone to stay at his friends' residence on Thursday. He left their place early in the morning at 3-4 am. His friends came to know about his death in the morning.



Deepak's body was recovered near the Nalanda Medical College and Hospital in Patna after locals spotted it and alerted the police, Deputy Inspector General of Police B.N. Jha said.  He said it was difficult to say whether it was a case of suicide, murder or accidental death. Head and stomach injuries were present on Deepak’s body.

Angle of alleged love-affair

Friends of Deepak, with whom he used to hang out revealed that he was heart-broken after he had a break-up with his girlfriend. They informed that he wanted to marry the girl who is a student at Chandigarh University, but the family of the girl refused to accept him.

The two friends namely Hrithik and Mrityunjay are students and they stay at a lodge in Bahadurpur. Deepak had gone to stay with them at their lodge. They informed that he ate dinner with them and then went off to sleep.

In the morning his body was found at Railway Track in front of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital.
