Patna: Bihar is facing the threat of floods this year as well. Due to excessive rainfall at the beginning of the monsoon, this time there has been premature flooding in many areas. More than 10 districts of the state are flood-affected as of now.

In such a situation, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is taking stock of the flood situation. He has directed the officials of the Disaster Management Department and Water Resources Department to remain on high alert so that any kind of situation can be dealt with.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas of Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Khagaria, and Madhepura districts. Chief Minister, who returned from Delhi after undergoing an eye operation, had earlier conducted an aerial survey of East Champaran, West Champaran, Darbhanga, and Samastipur.

Nitish Kumar, who returned after inspecting the flood-affected area, was quite surprised. "I am surprised after surveying the flood-affected areas. Never before (we) had such a situation arise. The arrival of the flood in June is shocking. It must have happened a long time ago," the CM said.

Meanwhile, Lalu Yadav's daughter Rohini Acharya taunted Nitish Kumar on conducting an aerial survey of the flood-affected districts. She alleged that a scam continues in the name of flood relief in the state.

At the same time, she also said, the aerial survey is just like a sightseeing activity, and it is happening for years. She had tweeted and said: "There is a government in the helicopter while common people are drowning and helpless."
