The polling was spread accross 94 constituencies in 17 districts. The first phase was held on October 28 in 71 constituencies and witnessed a polling turnout of 54 percent.
A total of 1,463 candidates contested for the 243-member assembly polls. Tejashwi Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav, Luv Sinha and Pushpam Priya Choudhary were among the major contestants in the second phase.
According to the information given by the ECI, among all constituencies, Muzaffarpur had the highest voter turnout of nearly 55 percent while the lowest was registered from Patna at 39.65 percent till 5 pm in the second phase.

Grand Alliance's CM candidate and RJD leader Tejashwi Kumar is contesting from Raghopur constituency which had a 54 percent turnout.
The voting had begun at 7 am amid coronavirus precautionary measures put in place as Bihar becomes the first state to undergo polls amid Covid-19 crisis in the country. The polling ended at 6 pm to allow infected patients and those carrying symptoms to cast their vote in the last hour.
