Bengaluru woke up to a cloudy morning on Tuesday with light drizzle while India Meteorological Department said that Karnataka is likely to receive more rainfall in the coming days in the capital and interior south parts. As per the weather department, Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Chamarajanagara, Chikkaballapura, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mysuru, Ramnagara, Shivamogga, Tumakuru and Vijayanagara districts will receive heavy downpour, reported IANS. 


The north interior districts of Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Raichur, Koppal, Yadgir will also receive rains. The coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada and Udupi are also likely to get showers. 


On Monday, Kolar district received heavy rainfall, affecting the mango crops, the report added.  






Heavy rains also lashed Tamil Nadu on Tuesday and the schools were shut in some districts, said the district administration, reported ANI. Chennai and suburban areas, parts of Natrampalli in Tirupathur district received heavy rainfall on Tuesday. 


The MeT department’s regional office in Tamil Nadu issued a yellow alert for some districts in the state from 3 am to 10 am on Tuesday. 






As per the weather office, some districts of Tamil Nadu will experience thunderstorms and lightning with light to moderate rainfall. 






Rainfall is expected at isolated places over Ariyalur, Cuddalore, Myladutivarai, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupattur, Tiruvannamalai, Tiruvallur, Chennai, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu and Villupuram districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and Karaikal, reported ANI.
