New Delhi: Amid the ongoing efforts to simmer down the tensions between the two neighbouring countries, an Indian envoy to China said that Beijing must stop building new structures at the Line of Actual Control in order to resolve the military stand-off. A report by news agency PTI quoted the Indian envoy Vikram Misri who said, "Only way to resolve military standoff along LAC is for China to stop erecting new structures."
Yesterday, ABP News had learnt that China erected its tents at Patrolling Point 14 of Galwan Valley, at the same point where Indian and Chinese troops had clashed. 20 of Indian soldiers were killed in the fight, dealing over 40 casualties to Chinese side. The tent has been spotted in a fresh satellite image as well.
The envoy's statement and several media reports of China building structures along LAC is in complete contrast with Prime Minister Modi's speech where he had ruled out the presence of any troops in Indian territory.
At the all-party meeting earlier this week to discuss the India-China border situations, PM had stated, "neither has anyone entered Indian territory, nor is anyone present in Indian territory currently, and nor is any Indian post captured."
Earlier today, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the Central government regarding Chinese incursion in Indian territory. In a video message, he urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to 'tell the truth about Chinese intrusion in India'.

"Our Prime Minister said that no one entered India but there are reports, satellite imagery, even people from Ladakh and retired army generals who are saying that China has grabbed Indian territory at three places," said Gandhi in the video.
Meanwhile, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi also made a virtual address and raised questions regarding Chinese occupation.
"The Prime Minister says China didn’t infiltrate but, the Defence Ministry and external affairs ministry have repeatedly mentioned about Chinese incursions," said Sonia Gandhi in a report by ANI. She also said that the Central government cannot shirk their responsibility.
