NEW DELHI: A day before the official inauguration of the re-done Alambagh bus station by the Yogi government, Samajwadi Party men on Monday cut the red ribbon at the bus stand. Before the Transport department or the police could take any action, around 50 SP activists barged at the bus stand and distributed sweets for forcefully inaugurating the bus stand. They shouted slogans 'Akhilesh Yadav Zindabad'. The Samajwadi Party activist claim that former CM Akhilesh Yadav was behind the construction of this bus stop, therefore, he should get the credit for the high-tech bus stand. Built at a cost of about Rs 50 crore, the bus station looks like an Airport. As per reports, Alambagh bus station has a restaurant, air-conditioned waiting hall, Wi-Fi facility, base for 50 buses and an underground parking for another 50. The station will have a cafeteria, ramps for differently abled passengers and modern toilets.
