The Ram Temple in Ayodhya, which will be open to the public from Tuesday after the grand opening graced by Prime Minisner Modi on Monday, witnessed a massive rush as devotees thronged the temple to catch a glimse of the Ram Lalla idol which was consecrated yesterday. The Pran Pratishtha took place in the presense of the who's who from the world of politics, films, sports and all walks of life.
The grand ceremony was led by PM Modi with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat by his side. Following the event, PM Modi addressed the gathering with a passionate speech about the long wait for the day. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also said the Ram Mandir was made where it was resolved to be and said 'Mandir wahin bana hai jahan banane ka sankalp lia tha' [The temple has been built where we had resolved to build it].
The devotees reached the temple from 3 am and waited outside to offer prayers and have a darshan of Lord Ram. Visuals captured the devotees waiting outside the temple premises and chants of 'Jai Shri Ram' were heard. The entire country and the Indian diaspora across the world celebrated the opening of the temple and consecration of Ram Lalla's idol with praises pouring in for PM Modi. Even as the Congress turned down invite to the ceremony, a few of the party leaders defied the party line to be present at the occasion.
