New Delhi: Following the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, who helped the Prime Minister end his fast with water, has called PM Narendra Modi a "hero of the nation". When asked about the moment he offered water to Prime Minister Modi, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj got emotional and said, "I felt like I was helping a son who is the hero of my nation broke his fast."
Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj who is also Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust’s treasurer was quoted as saying by news agency ANI, "We were supposed to offer him honey with a few drops of lemon juice in water. But he [PM Modi] told me separately to offer him 'charnamrit' of Bhagwan Sri Ram. So, we made changes...I felt a motherly love at that time and I felt as if I am offering it to my son and breaking his fast."
Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj went on saying, "I was remembering all those karsevaks and those who made sacrifices for this work. Many people did the work, but the combined power of all of them made Modiji stand up. Hence, in whatever way I describe him, it would be inadequate. In these 11 days, he has chanted a mantra in the name of Lord Shree Ram a lot. The mantra was sent by us and I myself saw that he was continuously reciting it."
Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj further asserted that in this way, if we find a national hero who controls himself through his words, mind and actions, then it will be our good fortune, reported ANI.
On January 12, PM Modi started an 11-day special ritual in the run-up to the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lala. During these days, he slept on the floor and took only coconut water. PM broke his 11-day Anushthan yesterday on the occasion of Pran Pratishtha.
The consecration of the much-anticipated Ram temple took place on Monday in Ayodhya. PM Modi performed a series of rituals at the temple, with the ‘pran pratishtha’ taking place during the 84-second 'Abhijeet muhurta'.
