Vijayawada: Miscreant Attacks, Murders Train Loco Pilot At Railway Station

The loco driver Ebenezer collapsed at the scene and was rushed to a nearby hospital but he was declared dead.

A murder unfolded at Vijayawada Railway Station early Thursday morning, when 52-year-old loco pilot Ebenezer was brutally attacked and killed while on duty. The unidentified assailant struck loco pilot Ebenezer on the head with an iron rod, causing fatal injuries.

The incident took place at around 4:00 AM, according to eyewitnesses. Ebenezer collapsed at the scene and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.

CCTV footage from the station revealed the suspect, a man without a shirt, fleeing the scene shortly after the attack. Railway police have launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the crime and are actively searching for the suspect.

"We are working tirelessly to apprehend the individual responsible for this heinous act," a police spokesperson stated.

The brutal murder has left the railway community and local residents in shock, raising concerns about safety at one of the region's busiest transportation hubs.
