New Delhi: India has given a befitting reply to Pakistan for its horrendous act of mutilating the bodies of two of Indian jawans on Monday. As per reports, the Pakistani post which was involved in Poonch attack has been destroyed by Indian Army.

Pakistan has beheaded two Indian jawans namely BSF soldier Prem Sagar and Naib Sub Paramjeet Singh after violating ceasefire at Line of Control. Three jawans are also said to be injured in the heavy firing.




 



Army issues statement on the attack:

Soon after the attack took place, Army issued a statement and warned of “appropriate response” for the “despicable act”.

Issuing a statement on Twitter, the Indian Army, said, a Border Action Team was launched by Pakistan on a patrol operating between two posts. Two soldiers were killed in unprovoked firing by Pakistan. The Army warned of "appropriate response" for the "despicable act.

Soon after the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence minister Arun Jaitley and Home Minister Rajnath Singh were briefed.

The ceasefire violation took place around 8:30 AM.  Troops guarding the border line retaliated strongly.

Pakistan has breached the truce eight times within a month.

The ceasefire violation comes a day after Pakistan's army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Line of Control. He said his country would continue to support the "political struggle" of the Kashmiris for the right of "self-determination".

Bajwa, who toured the areas in the Haji Pir sector; accused India of "state-sponsored" terrorism in Kashmir.
