New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Tuesday during which she raised several matters of her states' interest, including exemption from NEET and a request to prevent Karnataka from building dam across Mekedatu.

 

The AIADMK supremo, who arrived in the national capital this morning, also raised the matter of amendments to the GST Bill and gave a 29-point memorandum to the Prime Minister.

 

"The Centre should accept the AIADMK's amendments to the GST Bill, Puratchi Thalaivi Amma in the memorandum to PM Modi," said AIADMK's official twitter handle.

 

"Puratchi Thalaivi Amma memorandum to PM : Exempt Tamil Nadu permanently from NEET Exam.Tamil should be made one of the official languages, Cauvery Management Board should be formed among the other demands in the memorandum," the other tweet read.

 

"Puratchi Thalaivi Amma gives 29-point memoradum to PM, Resume Jallikattu, prevent Karnataka from building dam across Mekedatu," the AIADMK said in a series of tweets.

 

This is Jayalalithaa's first visit to the national capital after assuming the office for a second consecutive term.

 

The Chief Minister will be returning to Chennai today.

 

The AIADMK chief had earlier met Prime Minister Modi in August last year when he had visited Tamil Nadu during the Chennai floods.
