As per the PTI report, protesting farmers alleged that one person was injured after being hit by a car that was part of the convoy of BJP leaders visiting the area.

BJP MP Nayab Singh Saini and Haryana Sports Minister Sandeep Singh were in Naraingarh to attend a function at the Saini Bhawan located on the Naraingarh-Sadaura road.

The farmers gathered near the venue to stage a protest.

The protesters claimed that after the event, one of the vehicles of the BJP leaders hit a farmer, identified as Bhavan Preet, who is from a nearby village.

He is said to have sustained a minor injury to the leg. He was brought to a hospital and administered first-aid, they stated.

Bharatiya Kisan Union (Chaduni group) media in-charge Rajiv Sharma informed that farmers have submitted a complaint to the police and sought action in the matter.

The police have said that the matter is being investigated.

Navjot Singh Sidhu & Others Detained In UP

The allegation comes at a time when the Lakhimpur Kheri case continues to garner reactions with new videos of the incident surfacing on social media.

Eight people were killed on Sunday in Lakhimpur Kheri following violence that broke out after a car hit protesting farmers.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was en route to Lakhimpur Kheri along with party workers and supporters, was detained by Uttar Pradesh Police in Saharanpur on Thursday.

The Congress members were detained at Yamuna Nagar (Haryana) - Saharanpur (UP) border.

Speaking to media persons before the detention, Sidhu said, “Why has the government not arrested Ashish Mishra? Is the Minister's son above the law? Arrest Mishra. You (Uttar Pradesh government) are not taking action against him who ran over farmers. And, you are teaching us law. You have set Mishra free and stopping MLAs and MPs. We will not tolerate the dictatorship. We are soldiers of Rahul Gandhi”, news agency ANI reported.

Earlier today, Lucknow IG Lakshmi Singh informed that two people were being questioned by the police.

“They have confirmed the role of three others who are dead. Technically, they have also been accounted for. These people are giving a lot of information. We are sending summon to the main accused (Ashish Mishra) for questioning,” she said, as quoted by ANI.

Meanwhile, more details about the Ambala case are awaited.
