Upon receiving the information of the CM's surprise inspection, the district administration -to hide its deficiency and lies- installed 20 air coolers rented from a tent house in SRN hospital prior to his visit.
Taking deceptive measures, the hospital was made to look 'clean' and 'equipped' with facilities but only for a day. Coolers, put in for patients in their wards on Saturday night, were removed on the next day as soon as Adityanath left.
The officials have even covered name of the tent house on air coolers with stickers.
Not only SRN hospital but most of the places Adityanath went to inspect saw similar kind of make shift arrangements.
Last month, Deoria district administration had installed an air-conditioner, carpets, sofa set in the living room before the chief minister was to visit the family of a martyred soldier.
There were also reports that the Kushinagar administration provided soap and shampoo to members of the Scheduled Caste Mushahar community ahead of a visit by Adityanath. They were reportedly asked to meet the chief minister after a proper bath.
Adityanath had later directed officials not to make special arrangements when he tours the state.
"No special arrangements should be made for me during visits, inspections and other programmes... we are people who sit on the floor," the chief minister had said.
