Alert in Delhi: Delhi Police has been on high alert after receiving information about the suspected terror attack in crowded markets in the city on Diwali. Senior police officials have also taken stock of the security arrangements at important places. Delhi police came into action as soon as intelligence agencies alerted them. According to sources, crowded markets could be targeted by terrorists.
Earlier, the Special Cell of the Delhi Police had busted a Pakistan-based terror module on September 14 and arrested seven suspected terrorists who were planning to carry out terror attacks in the country during this festive season. The accused are now in police custody.

Indian intelligence agencies had earlier learned that Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI, could launch a major attack in the country during festivals. Following this information, security was beefed up in New Delhi. Delhi Police is currently monitoring hotels and guest houses. Police are keeping a close eye on everything happening in the capital.
Pakistani terrorist arrested last month-
A Pakistani terrorist was arrested in New Delhi. The Special Cell of Delhi Police had arrested a terrorist of Pakistani nationality from Ramesh Park, Laxmi Nagar. The terrorist was living with a fake ID of an Indian national. From his possessions, the police had seized an AK-47 rifle, one additional magazine with sixty rounds, one hand grenade, and two pistols with fifty rounds.
