"Akali Dal once was pure but now converted into property", said ex-BJP MP.
Here are 6 important things Navjot Singh Sidhu said during the press Conference:

- If 2 nations can settle issues sitting across table then why can't 2 people: Navjot Singh Sidhu on relation with Capt Amarinder

Meanwhile, speaking exclusively to ABP News, Sidhu said Congress always welcomed him with open arms and a meeting with Priyanka Gandhi made him realize that “one has to be into the system to make a change.”
Denying rifts with Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarinder, Sidhu said that “there aren’t any differences with him and will be meeting him on January 19th.”
Sidhu also spoke on his consultations with AAP prior to joining Congress.
“I met AAP leaders and did not find their intentions genuine. They kept heaping praises on me and I believe they should rise over all of these,” he said.
On giving up his Rajya Sabha seat, Sidhu spoke of his meeting with PM Modi. “I told PM if this Sabha seat is drifting me away from Punjab then I am ready to quit the post.”
Drug menace which is eating into the core of Punjab is a hot topic ahead of elections to which the Congress leader believes that the suppliers of drugs must be severely penalized rather than just nabbing the consumers in the state. “Stringent laws must come up to penalize the suppliers, now only the consumers are being caught.”
Sidhu, however, did not clearly reply when asked whether he would push for action against the Akali family if voted to power.
Parkash Singh Badal's counter fire:
"These are all migratory birds, people here know who has worked for them", said Parkash Singh Badal on Congress and AAP candidates from Lambi seat.
"They are those who change party ever now and then (opportunist). Do people do not know about them?", he remarked.
