Airtel Plans
Airtel's new plan will hit 125 cities where it is already established on September 7th and gradually move to new cities expanding its footprint. These new plans will comprise
- an entry level plan of Rs 499 with promised speed of 40 megabits per second
- revised Rs 799, Rs 999 and Rs 1,499 plans with data limit of up to 3,500 GB at promised speed in those plans.
- All new plans will be bundled unlimited phone calls, option of Airtel Xstream 4K TV box against refundable security deposit of Rs 1,500, Airtel Xstream apps which offer aggregated content from seven over-the-top entertainment apps and five studios.
According to PTI, Airtel said in a statement "All Airtel Xstream Fiber plans now include the Airtel Xstream Box worth Rs 3,999 that makes any TV a smart TV. Customers get access to all live TV channels plus the best of video streaming apps effectively eliminating the need for multiple entertainment devices at home.”
Airtel also said that through its Android enabled set-top box subscribers will be able to access 550 TV channels, over 10,000 movies and shows on Airtel Xstream Apps, Google Playstore apps along with online gaming. Rs 999 to 3,999 plans will come with subscription fees of Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, and Zee5 as well.
JioFiber Plans
The Reliance JioFiber offers monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and other plans starting at Rs 399 per month for 30Mbps speed. There is also Rs 699 for 100Mbps speed, Rs 999 for 150Mbps speed and Rs 1,499 for 300 Mbps speed.
They also offer unlimited data as well as unlimited voice calls. It also offers free 30 days trial period with unlimited 150 Mbps Internet and 4k set-top box with a subscription to 10 OTT Apps.
JioFiber is competing with Airtel Xstream and other internet providers including ACT Broadband, Spectra, and Tata Sky Broadband.
