ABP News Survey: It is to be understood that as a leader Narendra Modi has the maximum approval rating from the public. He ascended to the coveted post of Prime Minister in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections and was able to do it again in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.
Leading BJP from the front, Modi has been the face of the party for not only General Election but also multiple Assembly Elections during this time. Most of the time it has given the party an edge or resulted in a better outing in a state.
While the position of PM Modi, as a leader, looks strong for now there are multiple leaders from the opposition who are in offing to challenge him. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee are few names which are highlighted to upend or at least challenge Narendra Modi.
In order to understand which leader has the chance to challenge Narendra Modi's position as a leader, ABP in collaboration with CVoter surveyed to get the mood of the nation.
As per ABP News Survey, 25.6% of the respondents think that Rahul Gandhi can challenge Narendra Modi's leadership in near future while AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal came close 2nd with 21.9% of votes from the survey. Fiery TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee got only 7.9 per cent of the respondents vote in her favour when asked if she can challenge Narendra Modi in near future.
Meanwhile, on being asked if there is any alternative of PM Modi in the country at present, 49.9% of respondents were negative in their response. 35.1% of the respondents of the ABP News survey said yes to an alternative to PM Modi at present.
