New Delhi: Was India about to bomb Fomer Pakistan PM and Naval Chief Parvez Musharraf and Current PM Nawaz Sharif on June 24, 1999?

In an exclusive interview with a senior pilot, who led the Kargil war, which is one of the most important events in India-Pakistna history; several shocking details have emerged.

Speaking to ABP News, AK Singh who served former Air Marshal in Indian Airforce spilled the beans.

As per Singh, a fighter plane of Indian Airforce had left and had almost dropped a bomb to kill Nawaz Sharif and Musharraf; but was stopped at the last moment by a senior pilot because Vajpayee Government had ordered the pilots not to cross the Line of Control.

The shocking revelation was made just before 18th anniversary of India’s victory in the Kargil war.

“We weren’t aware that Sharif and Musharraf were inside the building. The tension between the two countries was too high. We could only see an Army camp” he said.

He further added, “It was early morning around 9 am and we weren’t expecting a huge number of Pakistan Army gathering, therefore I ordered to not drop bomb and we turned back after taking a circle of the camp”.

He also said that it was only after 2-3 years that the Navy got to know that the building had both Sharid and Musharraf inside.

“I think even if we knew both were inside the building, we would have deterred from dropping the bomb”.
