India and China are likely to hold Corps Commander-level talks this week after holding diplomatic talks earlier this month to address the remaining issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.


The two sides are expected to discuss the issue of disengagement from Gogra heights, Depsang Plains and CNC junction area near Demchok during the discussions, ANI reported government sources as saying.


Both nations are said to have discussed these issues in detail during the diplomatic-level talks.

The two sides disengaged from the Pangong lake area last month after extensive talks at both military and political level.


Earlier, India and China held 10 round of talks at the Corps Commander-level to reach the arrangement to disengage from the Pangong lake area.


Meanwhile, India, Pakistan and China will participate in a joint anti-terrorism exercise along with other members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO)

The decision to hold the joint exercise “Pabbi-Antiterror-2021” was announced on March 18 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, during the 36th meeting of the Council of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS).


“Decisions have been made to improve cooperation between the competent authorities of the SCO member states in identifying and suppressing channels that finance terrorist activities,” China’s Xinhua news agency reported while quoting a RATS statement, PTI reported.
