The BR-V is Honda’s attempt at cracking the compact SUV space. At present, the Hyundai Creta is the most popular SUV in this segment. However, this space is going to witness a lot of new launches in 2019.
First up will be the Nissan Kicks, the Japanese car manufacturer’s second attempt in the segment after the Terrano. Set to be launched in the beginning of 2019, the Kicks SUV will be a platform cousin of the Renault Duster and is expected to be priced competitively. Later, Tata will mark its entry in the segment by launching the Harrier in the first quarter. The Harrier is expected to be priced slightly higher than compact SUVs like the Creta but will be a bigger product as well. Apart from the two, Kia and MG Motor will make their Indian debut by launching their compact SUVs. So if you’re looking to buy an SUV in the Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh space, keep your eyes glued as 2019 is going to be quite an action-packed year.
