The Honda Activa 125 joins the LED race alongside the Honda Grazia, Dio and Activa 5G

Honda has launched the updated Activa 125 at a starting price of Rs 59,621, which is a premium of Rs 2,116 over the outgoing version. The updates include an all-new LED headlamp and other features such as a 4-in-1 lock, eco speed indicator, a nifty service due indicator, a refreshed speedometer and black alloy wheels instead of the silver units seen on the older scooter. Honda also provides an optional mobile charger along with the Activa 125. Mechanical changes are limited to the new three-step adjustable rear suspension. The Deluxe variant, which is priced at Rs 64,007, also gets a chrome-plated muffler protector to add a bit of flair.

The scooter continues to draw power from a 124.9cc, BS-IV compliant, single-cylinder engine that puts out 8.6PS of power at 6500rpm and 10.54Nm of peak torque at 5000rpm. Braking duties are handled by drum brakes equipped CBS (combi-braking system) on the standard variant, while the top-spec Deluxe gets a 190mm disc up front.

Honda has also added a new paint scheme - matte silver - along with the existing colours that include black, white, red, blue and matter grey. It competes against the Suzuki Access 125 (Rs 58,980) and Honda Grazia Rs 63,994 (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
